Examples of MEP and Civil BIM Coordination for Data Centers, Medical Centers, and Life Sciences Projects. The renderings displayed here are combined models from various subcontractors. As a BIM Engineer, I collaborated closely with engineers, project teams, and different trades to integrate MEP models, identify potential clashes early, and document roadblocks in BIM360/BIMTrack ahead of the weekly BIM coordination meetings for each project. These final models reflect clear coordination among all stakeholders, significantly reducing issues and additional costs in the field during construction.
A large data center project in the Mid-Atlantic region. This was one the first projects where BIM was used for civil coordination ahead of MEP coordination. Coordination meetings were held every other day.
